Internet Fraud Prevention The Queensland Police Service is currently conducting research into seniors and online fraud. Essentially, the project seeks to gain an insight into the views of seniors (50+) who receive unsolicited email requests for money, personal details or passwords. As part of this research, I am seeking to interview 80-100 seniors across Queensland, targeting both those who have received the emails and not responded as well as those who have responded to these emails, and in many cases, sent money and personal details resulting in fraudulent activity being committed against them. For further information about this project or to register your interest, please contact: Dr Cassandra Cross Community Safety and Crime Prevention Branch Queensland Police Service Telephone (07) 3234 2111, e-mail: fraud.research@bigpond.com |
