Hobbies and Games "I have a hobby...I have the world's largest collection of sea shells. I keep them scattered on beaches all over the world. Maybe you've seen some of them." Steven Wright (1955 - ) We don't know anyone who hasn't got a hobby or doesn't play a game. Some hobbies are becoming pretty expensive but it usually doesn't stop the enthusiast from pursuing his diversion from real life stress. There are so many different hobbies that we could not list them all here. However,
we would like you, our visitors, to tell us about your ways of keeping yourself
occupied and allowing some quality relaxation at the same time. Whether your
hobby is photography, dancing, play in a band, gardening, race Go-karts, fly a
kite, build sand castles or parachute on a regular basis, whatever you do will
be of interest to all of us. Perhaps your submissions could awaken a silent talent within us and we may just take up some extra hobbies we never thought possible. (Someone in our family had the opportunity to learn to play the piano during his school years. No, he didn't and he is now kicking himself daily. Well, that's life!) Games are a similar story. We all used to play 'Snakes and Ladders' in the distant past, but what is your favourite game today? (Gentlemen, no bragging or insulting remarks, please!) Is cricket, football, rugby or golf your gaming interest? Or is it Roulette, Black Jack, Poker, Chess, Darts or Bridge? We are waiting to hear from you whether you have mellowed with maturity or whether you are still a keen gamer? Amongst our links you will find directions to many different games and hobbies. Perhaps you may find something of interest which will give you a renewed lease on life. Hopefully, you will let us know what is now keeping you from watching TV! Importantly, it should be something to keep your mental state active and healthy. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Poetry and poetic expressions (submitted by our visitors) "Rain from nowhere" by Murray Hartin (21/2/07) - very topical and truthful "The Thunder Fields Of Maralinga" by Mahalia (26-1-10) - a poem about one of Australia's age of shame!
