"Australian National Broadband Network"

Post by Perrorist » 29 Jan 2019, 12:47

I've just received a call from "Australian National Broadband Network" to tell me that my phone service and internet service would be cut off in 24 hours unless I pressed 1 to get in touch with a technician. I've heard of this spam call, so I ignored it. Something else to be aware of in this predatory world.

It was similar to that of a recorded message ,phone rang 4 times, a woman shouting, ignored same. As we had just installed a new phone, wondered what on earth was going on?!

I also got one of these calls a week or so ago.
An Asian sounding woman said she had been trying to get in touch with me for some time. She then said to press 1 to speak to a technician, so my service would not be interrupted.
My red inner light went on, and I hung up. I remembered getting a call like this when I first started to use a computer.
They NEVER stop using the same stupid SCAM calls.

I wish it were easier to track these individuals and prosecute them. They're criminals.
