First off, you need to put the image on a site so that it can have an address. Examples are Photobucket, Canon Irista, Dropbox, Google Photos, and Flickr. They're all free for casual users.

Next, in your post, click the image icon, to the right of the asterisk icon. It will insert two img tags. Put the image's address between the two tags. Provided they're not too large, you should see the image when you preview your post.

Let me know if you need more info. I'm on my way out, and this post is written in haste.

Mavis, this is from a post by Godfather some time ago :

Write your post as usual,
then scroll down the page to: ATTACHMENTS
click on it and click on ADD FILES
next find the photo you wish to upload and click on it,
then click on OPEN and the name of the photo will appear within your post.
PREVIEW and then SUBMIT, then sit back and enjoy your achievement!

This is the method I use,and I find it quite easy.

You might also wish to click on the FAQ link at the top left of the page. There is lots of info there, too.

...... Good luck and cheers

I've never used that method, but it's ideal for posting images from your PC. Because I have a server, I load my images there, but the attachment method is definitely the way to go otherwise. Thanks, Slapsy.

Thanks Slapsy, you are very observant. =D= =D= =D=

The method described in Slaps's post eliminates the need to use an outside app like photobucket etc.
If I see something in news article on the net, I take a cut with the Microsoft Snipping tool and save it to my desktop.
I can then crop it or enlarge it or even add comment to it via MS Edit. Once I have the clipping/photo as I want it, I use
the method Slapsy uses to post it on SP.

Try it Mavis, a couple of shots and I'll bet you'll have it conquered!

Thanks GF,I had a good teacher.

Sites like Photobucket,Tinypics, etc are now useless unless you elect to pay.
