Changes to private health insurance from April 1

Post by Perrorist » 27 Mar 2019, 16:52

Not many people are aware that private health insurance cover will change on 1 April. Policies are now designated gold, silver, and bronze. There are also 'plus' versions of these. Choice has a good write-up on what the changes mean: Health Insurance Reforms

Also, most natural therapies will be excluded: Removing Coverage

Hopefully the better elements of those therapies will be picked up by therapists who are still funded,
such as physiotherapists, sports physiologists, etc.
The saving is admitted to be minimal anyway, and if people find them helpful that is more important than supposed proof of their benefit.
I found myotherapy of more benefit to me for one ailment, than any 'approved' treatment!
I dream, therefore I am.
